Chargers for motorcycle and powersports batteries

Match the charger to the Ah on your battery label. NOCO rates the 1 amp GENIUS1 up to 30 Ah and the 2 amp GENIUS2 up to 40 Ah. If your bike runs a lithium battery, the charger also needs a lithium mode, and all three chargers below list one.

Ratings from manufacturer pages, September 24, 2026. Times use NOCO's 1.5 charge-time ratio; NOCO's GENIUS1 manual lists 9 hours for a 12 Ah battery from half charge.

Lithium needs its own mode

NOCO's GENIUS5 manual describes the lithium mode as for batteries "with Battery Management Systems (BMS) only" (user guide). If you have swapped the original lead-acid battery for a lithium one, switch the charger mode to match.

The Battery Tender Junior on Amazon is the Multi-Chemistry version with a lithium mode. Battery Tender's page separates it from the standard lead-acid-only Junior (SKU 021-0123), so check which one a listing is before you buy.

Winter storage

A smart charger with a maintenance stage can stay connected while the bike is parked. Trickle charger or maintainer explains the difference and why it matters for months on the tender.
